DIY: Autumn Glass Block DIY: Autumn Glass Block Here is a simple Fall project I just completed using a glass block, festive fabric, burlap, lace, mod podge, and pieces of nature. I pretty much just winged this entire project as I went along. So if you're wanting to give it a try, get creative and go crazy with your decorating! Wipe the glass block with a wet rag to clean. Add a thin layer of mod podge to the back of the glass block and add your fabric, right side down. Smooth out with your fingers. Let dry then add another thin layer of mod podge over the back of the fabric to seal. (Tip: a credit/debit card works great for smoothing out wrinkles!) The hubby and I took our pups for a walk and gathered some pieces to create the Autumn look. Some different colored leaves, twigs, and acorns. Of course I had to add burlap somewhere! The lace trim around the glass block brings the focus to the inside of the block, the pieces of nature and the pumpkin themed fabric. Done! I'm definitely going to add some white Christmas lights around the block to add some more charm, especially at night. You really can do all kinds of decorating with glass blocks. I was in a Craft Warehouse the other day and they had a whole table full of inspiration for these kind of things. Hope you liked the project! Happy Tuesday! Moses replied, “When I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands in prayer to the LORD. The thunder will stop and there will be no more hail, so you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.—Exodus 9:29 (NIV) Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google Plus About AK This is a short description in the author block about the author.
